What do you do when Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, visits your show's set? In case you're Joanne Froggatt, you coincidentally make a tasteless remark. Froggatt, who has won a Golden Globe for playing Anna on Downton Abbey and been selected for three Emmys, enlightened Conan O'Brien concerning her unintentionally grimy remark.
"You're simply getting more apprehensive," Froggatt said on Conan in regards to the steady reports on Middleton's visit. She and Michelle Dockery were the main ones recording that day. "We're doing this scene and she's exceptionally excellent, flawless. She has this astounding atmosphere when she strolls in the room… before we really made proper acquaintance we needed to act directly before her."
Froggatt said she got somewhat nervous acting before Middleton. After the scene wrapped, the Duchess of Cambridge said she felt odd being in Lady Mary's (Dockery) room. "I said, 'Better believe it, very few individuals get the opportunity to come in Lady Mary's room,'" she said. "And afterward I was similar to, 'Goodness my god. What have I quite recently said?' I've quite recently said something that could be taken truly the wrong way… and I thought, 'Do I say? Do I attract thoughtfulness regarding it?'"
Wow!
In any case, Froggatt said Middletown let the remark drop as well and was exceptionally thought.
